REPORT ON WORLD SUICIDE PREVENTION DAY PROGRAMME
On account of World Suicide Prevention Day, On 10tth September 2025, at 10.00 a.m, Vaniyamkulam Gramapanchayath Jagrathasamithi in association with Janamythri Police Ottapalam conducted an awareness programme and Motivation class for the School and College students. Our 4th Semester students attended the programme. After the welcome address by Dr. Bayana Boms, Convener Jagratha Samithi, the programme was inaugurated by Panchayath President Shri. Gangadharan.
The first session was by Shri. Vinod B. Nair Sub Inspector Ottapalam Police Station. He had explained about various incidence of suicide in and out of Ottapalam. Also described about the various causes which is leading to such incidences.
The second session was conducted by Shri Ganesh Kailash a true motivational speaker, by narrating his own experiences of life. A true influencer, inspite of being in the wheelchair for last 19 years, from the age of 26 years. Explained how to become happy in life and the importance of parents and how one should be thankful for being blessed each day. Enforced the students to be happy and that can prevent from the thought of ending up the life. After the session, students and teachers had given the feedback about the session. The entire audience were so happy and much appreciated the event and thanked the Panchayat for conducting such an inspiring programme.
