The National Reading Day theme for 2025 is "The role of literature in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)." This theme emphasizes how reading and books can contribute to global awareness of challenges and promote positive change aligned with the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The theme was revealed by Prof.Dr. A.Priya Mary Stella and vice-principal Prof. Dr.Ariyalakshmi. This year department of library of P.K. Das College of Nursing ,celebrated the Reading Week from June 19 th to 25 th with various activities and series of competitions aimed at engaging nursing students, raising awareness, and interesting activities related to books and reading were conducted
On June 19 th Book review on ‘A Lone Warrior’ - The Amazing Journey of P.K.Das written by Sheeja Poonthanam was presented in English by Ms. Bhadra Santhosh and ‘Ottayal Nayakan’ in Malayalam by Ms. Sreeshma. II semester students .Essay writing competition, Handwriting competition, vercification competition, teachers talk on their favourite books were organized and prizes were distributed to the winners .
