FIRE SAFETY TIPS AND TRAINING PROGRAMME

Fire safety is the set of practices intended to reduce destruction caused by fire. Fire safety measures include those that are intended to prevent the ignition of an uncontrolled fire and those that are used to limit the spread and impact of a fire. As The member of healthcare Team, When Nurses take part in Fire Disaster Preparedness it Helps them to Equip with Fire Safety Skills such as Recognizing Fire Hazards, Perform Fire Risk assessment, Taking Action in Preventing Fires and Actively Respond in case of any Fire Emergency in the Hospital. P.K.Das College of nursing is always determined in providing informative & effective training programmes to our students apart from their syllabus which will be really beneficial for their professional development. Excellent fire and Safety Training Programme was provided to the Semester II BSc Nursing 90 students on June 17th 2025 at 2.00pm on both Theory and Practical Sessions. The Session offered the students with a realistic experience to equip with all the basic skills and knowledge required in the event of a fire in work area and how to evacuate the causalities. Mr. Pushparajan, Fire and Safety officer of our Parent hospital PKDIMS had spent his Valuable time for the students. This training Programme really enabled the students to equip with Knowledge on Fire Safety skills. The commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment is paramount, and ongoing efforts will be made to reinforce these principles through continuous training and awareness programs.
