VISIT TO POLYGARDEN [ 01/02/2025]
On 1st February 2025, the Mental Health Nursing (MHN) Department organized a heartwarming visit to Polygarden, where 90 fifth-semester students (2022-2026 Batch) spent a day with mentally challenged individuals. Led by Prof. Sathyasri, HOD, Mr. Liju James, Associate Professor, and Ms. Anitha, Lecturer, the students were welcomed by the Director, Mr. Sijo, who introduced the institution, its history, mission, and services. Polygarden is home to 125 residents, many of whom showcased their hidden talents during the visit. The students began the day with a prayer song and performed cultural activities, engaging the residents to join in the performances. The day continued with health monitoring, where students checked blood pressure and weight for those in need. The experience left a lasting impact on the students, who shared their thoughts and gratitude at the end of the program, describing it as a truly memorable and enriching experience.
