ELOCUTION COMPETITION- INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
An elocution competition was conducted as a part of International day for violence against women.The UN General Assembly (UNGA) designated 25 November as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on 7 February 2000. According to the UN, violence against women and girls (VAWG) remains ?largely unreported due to the impunity, silence, stigma, and shame surrounding it?. VAWG continues to be an obstacle to achieving equality, peace, development, and the fulfillment of women and girls? human rights. This year, 2024, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women theme is ?Every 11 Minutes, a woman is killed. #NoExcuse. UNiTE to End Violence against Women?. Students from all batches participated in the competition.
