SPORTS MEET 2024
P K Das College of Nursing held a Sports Meet on August 29, 2024, to commemorate India's 78th Independence Day. The event was guided by Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). The meet featured outdoor games at PKDIMS ground and indoor games at the college in presence of Dr. Govindhan Kutty,Physical Education Coordinator. Students were divided into four houses: RAVENCLAW, SLYTHERIN, GRYFFINDOR, and HUFFLEPUFF. They participated in sports like Chess, Caroms, Throwball, Volleyball, Basketball, and Football. The event promoted health, fitness, and unity while celebrating India's freedom. It was a day of joy, pride, and camaraderie, leaving participants and spectators with renewed patriotism. The college believes in emphasizing sports as part of the curriculum to engage students. The event concluded with a closing ceremony, where Prof. Priya Mary Stella, Principal, distributed trophies to winners and congratulated participants for their efforts and sportsmanship.
