World Breastfeeding Week 2024 was commemorated with a seminar held on August 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the PKDCN Auditorium. The event began with a two-minute silent prayer in memory of the late Founder Chairman, Sri P.K. Das, and in mourning of the recent landsliding disaster in Wayanad. Miss Liviya C. Wilson, a fourth-year BSc nursing student, warmly welcomed the gathering. The inaugural speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Srinivasan G. The seminar featured three presentations: the first by Prof. Dr. Ariyalakshmi B., HOD of the Department of Child Health Nursing, on the topic "Warm Chain of Breastfeeding Support"; the second by Mrs. Dana Baby, Associate Professor of the Department of OBG Nursing, on "Factors Affecting Lactation"; and the final session led by Prof. Dr. Regina P.F., HOD of the Department of OBG Nursing. All sessions were highly informative and interactive, engaging the audience in meaningful discussions. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Miss Aiswarya, a fourth-year BSc nursing student, followed by the national anthem, marking the dispersal of the gathering."
